SEN Provision
Isle of Wight providers are committed to employing their best efforts, and embracing a uniform approach to catering to the requirements of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The Local Authority actively backs schools in their efforts to guarantee optimal progress for all students, irrespective of their distinct needs.
The overarching goal is to encourage schools to be proactive and inclusive, striving to meet the needs of students with SEN in a mainstream setting whenever feasible, and in alignment with the preferences of families.
Local Offer
The Isle of Wight Council is committed to giving all children and young people high quality education that enables them to make progress and achieve well.
For children and young people aged 0 to 25 with special educational needs or a disability, additional or specialist support may be needed to enable this. To support the process of identifying the range of provision and advice that is available, the Isle of Wight Local Authority have published a local offer.
